Terms

These terms cover using Trice on the iPhone and on the web. They are written in plain words, and the privacy page is part of them.

The short version

Use Trice for real work and within the law. Records made for a business belong to that business. Trice’s suggestions can be wrong, so check them before you rely on them. You can delete your account at any time from inside the iPhone app.

Who these terms are for

Anyone who signs in to Trice: an owner, the people on a team, and the clients, crew and insurance contacts a business invites. You need to be old enough to agree to a contract where you live. When you set up a business on Trice, you agree to these terms for that business too, and you confirm you may do that.

Your account

Your account is for you alone. Signing in takes a link sent to your email, so keep that mailbox safe. Tell support right away if someone else may have used your account.

A business and its records

The owner of a business decides who can see and change its records, and can hand the business over or close it. Photos, notes, jobs and invoices recorded for a business belong to that business. Invited clients, crew and insurance contacts see only what the business shares with them.

You give Trice permission to store those records, to show them to the people the business lets see them, and to send them to the companies named on the privacy page when a feature you use needs it. Trice uses them to run Trice for you and for the business, and doesn’t sell them.

Suggestions and voice

Trice can review a photo, sort a request, draw up a drying plan and answer out loud. These are suggestions, and they can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them. Trice doesn’t replace a licensed professional’s judgment, an adjuster’s decision or advice about taxes.

Paying for Trice

Some of what Trice records costs money, counted as the work is done. Charges follow the prices in effect at the time. When a business closes, unused credit that was paid for is refunded to the card that paid for it.

Fair use

  • Follow the law, including the law on recording people and their property.
  • Add only what you have the right to add.
  • Don’t try to reach a business or an account that isn’t yours, or to test, overload or break Trice.
  • Don’t use Trice to send messages people didn’t ask for.
  • Don’t resell Trice or copy it.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time: in the iPhone app, open Account, then Delete Account. The privacy page says what goes and what stays. Trice can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.

Trice as it is

Trice is offered as it is and as it is available. It can have mistakes and outages. As far as the law allows, Trice isn’t responsible for lost profits or other indirect losses, and its total responsibility for any claim is limited to what the business paid Trice in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and contact

When these terms change, the date at the foot changes with them. Questions go to [email protected].
